I hope you like my backstory.

Character Backstory

Name: Dick Dastardly

Dick Dastardly grew up with his crooked Grandad. His family died in a Wacky Race but they had an accident. His Mum and his Dad were trying to win the World Cup. They tried to cheat his Dad shots out his rope out of his car and he was trying to get in front of the first player but then Dick Dastardly Mum swept in from behind his Dad and then the rope hit his Mums car then they got out of control and flew of the cliff and that was the end he was sad with out his Mum and Dad then now he leaves with his Grandad.

Years later he sat with his Grandad and begged him to go to the Wacky Races and he started to cry. Please can I go? I want to win the World Cup PLEASE! He said so for years and years his Grandad showed him how to drive a car. Dick Dastardly was getting better and better but now he needed to make his own car and that when he found it he stole peoples parts from other cars and it was amazing he said in his head, he laughed with excitement and jumped around and around. Then waited till the next Wacky Race.

Dr U Who

List 3 ways that Dr U Who can help people in the hospital.
1. Dr U Who act silly and funny to calm down the patient
2. by laughing at the clown's your hormones are like a natural chemicals that tell our bodies how to react to scary situations.
3. The clown's make you happy and your blood level goes down and it makes the people that are looking after the kid a much easier job.

In your own words, explain how ‘laughter is the best medicine
it's a good way of not being sad and it can change a lot of thing, your brain tell you to not be scared and be calm and that why laughter is the best medicine.

How does this reading relate to what you are learning in Drama?
It's about the different types of emotions that a clown can make you feel and drama is all about acting and getting the audience to feel different emotions like you can make them sad, happy, scared and claim and that's why I think this story is related to Drama.

Here's the picture of my clown that I made on Avatar maker hope you like it.

Women Suffrage

Women Suffrage

Today we read a texts about women suffrage it was based on a New Zealander name Kate Sheppard. She was the leader who stated women suffrage, women suffrage is a protest to vote. She did this because there were not fair rules like women just cooking, clean and looked after kids all day and men were over powered and the men got to do anything. here is some questions about women suffrage

What year did Maori men get the vote? By 1867 gold miners and Maori men could also vote to decide the government.

Why did most people think women should not vote? Because they need someone to clean the house and look after everything.

What does the phrase "drinking their wage" mean? Wasting your money on alcohol and you will have no more money.

How did the WCTU help the poor? The WCTU put soup shops in hospitals and prisons to stop men buying alcohol

What was the main form of protest that the women used to change the law? All of the women sighing a big peace of paper witch had over 25.000 people that sighed it, then Kate Sheppard headed up the WCTU and showed all of the men.

Why is Kate Sheppard on our $10 note? because she was the first ever women to make women vote.

Students should not have to wear school uniform

Students should not have to wear school uniform

Students should not have to wear school uniform I think it should be compulsory. Some people don't have that much money to buy school uniform. It can be relay steers full for the caregiver. next I will tell you why i think it should be compulsory.

Some kids like to wear school uniform and it looks good on them and other kids don't like school uniform it is itchy and you have to wash it everyday. But it is a good way to represent your school like if you are going on a school trip, playing sport or even just walking back home. If you don't have school uniform you can just go in your normal every day clothes instead of school uniform and you don't need to clean your clothes over and over again.

This is why school uniform should be compulsory instead of just wearing you school uniform it makes it so much easier then just wearing school uniform.

CARR card's are a great reward for being good. but the CARR card's take ten full CARR card's to get a five dollar and kids will give up when they don't have ten.

but I don't think that people like to do CARR cards. There are not that much people that care about CARR cards stamps, even know there are CARR card's kids still muck around they don't do there work, they don't lesson to the teacher and they are disrespectful as well. CARR cards take ten full CARR card's to get a five dollar and kids will give up when they don't have ten.

Why you need a oven

Why you need a oven
I will be telling you why you need a oven, The earliest ovens were in Central Europe  witch date back to 29,000 BC. in Ukraine from 20,000 BC they used pits with hot coals covered in ashes. The food was wrapped in leaves and set on top then covered with dirt.

I think you need a oven because it makes cooking or baking so much easier. if you don't have a oven you can't cook your meat and then you meat will be raw and you can't eat it, you need a oven to survive you will not get any fibres witch you need to be healthy.

Those are just the few of the reasons why you need a oven.

Ice cream is better than cake

Ice cream is better than cake

Today I am going to tell you why I think ice cream is better than cake, because Ice cream is good on a hot day, it's nice and cold and its nice to have with friends. Cake sometimes is really dry and it is hard to eat, you can get food all over yourself then you have to clean it up all of the mess. That is my opinion on why I think ice cream is better than cake.   How ice cream is made | Feature | RSC Education

Designed for Good

Designed for Good

What was the problem that Craig Bond had?
The problem was he had a flat tier and a man pumped it up with compressed air and that gave him an idea.

Give two reasons why Craig and his classmates want to design a new pest trap?
They saw in 2007 what the damage was from the possums and other stokes.
There was a lot of stokes in NZ so they made a new and better trap.

What were the requirements for the new trap design?
Pests had to die quickly with little pain.

Explain in your own words what a prototype is.
Prototype is the first product you made but can be improved.

What is the message or theme of this story?
Trying to get rid of the pests and killing them with as little pain.

by recycling old diverting thousand of tons of materiel away from NZ landfill.

What does coal, oil and natural gas do to the environment?
it pollute the air that we breath in and it is no good for your body.

What does non-renewable mean?
non-renewable mean green energy and natural resources.

The energy of moving things is called…
It is called kinetic energy the energy to move things.

Explain in your own words how a wind turbine works?
instead of using electricity to make wind, wind turbines use wind to make electricity.

Problem Solving

Problem Solving

Hi Diago and I have been problem solving here it is.

Changing Lives The Omeo Story

In your own words,  write a short paragraph (3-5 sentences) that explains what the Omeo is.

The Omeo is an upgrade of the man powered wheel chair. you don' t need to push or pull, it is all electric, it can go of road its easier to control than an wheel chair.
It took the Omeo team a long time to turn their ideas into reality.

List at least 2 ways that the Omeo is different from a traditional man-powered wheelchair?

1. you use your body to move the Omeo, you lean to the right then you turn to the right, it the same all around.

2. The Omeo can go off road an its easier to control.

What is “one of the most liberating things” about the Omeo?

The Omeo makes it more easy to control and help the people that can't walk.

Think of something you use in your life… what modifications could be made to it that would make it more accessible for people with a physical or invisible disability.

I would make something that could help people that can't walk, I would make it so you can put it away faster, it can go over bumps, is not man powered so you don't have to push the wheel chair it is able to fit in a car and it can go on an airplane.

Hello everyone today I did 100 Word Challenge, we had to include 3 words from a book that I read, I chose important, exciting and suddenly.

Hope you like it.

Before everything had been completely normal. He had sat eating his breakfast at the kitchen table as he did every day, nothing exciting but today might be the day. He had an important meeting with a millionaire so he got ready after he finished his meal.

It was only when he looked in the mirror suddenly that he realised something was wrong. For a second he had panicked, and a sick feeling grew in his stomach. His mouth felt dry and he started to sweat as he sprinted from room to room trying to find a mirror or a reflection.5 Great Invisible Apps.
